Bio
My work places emphasis on the solubility of memory, the vulnerability of the body, disgust, otherhood, and the cyclical nature of systems of power.
Within my practice, the act of painting is both a recognition and a distortion of identity, acknowledging individuals while stripping them of agency. As my work is displayed and sold, the audience and collector become complicit in the act of exploitation and profit.
